Kasargod, Aug 11: A 40-year-old man was killed and his six-year-old daughter sustained injuries as their motorbike collided head-on with a truck at Uppala on Sunday, police said.
The mishap occurred when the motorbike driven by the man identified as Zulfikar, who was returning along with his daughter from a relative’s house at nearby Bappayitod, collided with the truck in front of Uppala Town Juma Masjid around 6 p.m., police said. Although the injured were rushed to a Mangalore hospital, the man died on the way. His body has been shifted to the general hospital for post-mortem examination.
