Udupi: Temple burgled

Udupi Dec 16 : A gang of persons broke into Sri BelampalliTemple at Belampalli coming under the Hiriyadka police station limits in Udupi district and escaped with gold valuables worth Rs. 1.6 lakh.
 
According to the police, the gang broke into the temple between 8 p.m. on December 14 and 6.15 a.m. on December 15 and decamped with gold ornaments kept in a locker in the temple.
 
A case had been registered and investigation is on, the police said.
