Notorious cheater nabbed; 9 cameras, 14 lens worth Rs 33 lakhs seized

Bengaluru, Mar 1: Police have nabbed a notorious cheater and recovered from him Rs 33 lakhs worth 9 Cannon cameras and 14 costly lens.

Police said on Friday that the arrested Asaf Khan, posing as a professional photographer, used to take on hire for 4 to 5 days costly cameras and putting them on sale through OLX and selling to lead a luxury life.

High Grounds police, posing as customer, nabbed him when he was trying to sell a Mark Four 5 D Cannon Camera worth about Rs 2.5 lakhs and Rs 1 lakhs worth lens taken on hire from a seller Pramod. He had also taken on hire from a shop owned by Pravin Shetty Rs 2.5 lakhs worth Cannon 5 D camera and Lens together worth about Rs four lakhs and had sold them after putting them on sale through OLX.
