Five poachers held at Nagarahole

Gonikoppa, Feb 20: Forest officials have arrested five people who were poaching wild animals by laying a trap at Nagarahole Tiger Reserve near Gonikoppa.

The arrested are Kutta, Basava, Mutha, Kavala and Chubra, all residents of Paldalla Haadi.

It is said that they were poaching animals by laying a trap near the periphery of the reserve forest. Assistant Conservator of Forest Satyanarayana said four tigers were killed after they laid the trap.
