Chikkamagaluru, May 3: The District Crime and Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) sleuths have arrested four persons who were involved in illegal exchange of demonetised Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency, for commission.
Police have seized banned notes worth Rs 12 lakh. The arrested are Arif, Afzal, Abdul Karim from Gaurikaluve and Yogesh from Undedasarahalli. They were construction and tiles contractors. They were involved in exchange of demonetised notes for a commission.
The DCIB sleuths conducted a raid on Monday and arrested the four. All the arrested have been released on bail by the court.
