Special team formed to nab V Nagaraj's 'missing' wife

Bengaluru, May 21: Police are on hunt for Lakshmi Nagaraj, wife of former BBMP corporator V Nagaraj alias Naga who was arrested after Rs 15 crore in banned currency was seized from his house on April 14.

A special team has been formed to trace Lakshmi who had allegedly fled her Srirampura house.

"During questioning, Nagaraj confessed to have converted black money into white and also revealed his wife's role in the business.Based on his statement, we have considered her as a partner in the crime," police said.

Naga and his two sons, Gandhi and Shastri, were arrested on May 10 from their hideout at Arcot in Tamil Nadu.
