loveMoodbidri, Jan 20: The girl who fell in love with a boy from different faith and broke out of her family following a clash with kin was handed over by Moodabidri police to Prajna Counselling Centre in Mangalore.

It is said that Rinna Crasta (25) from Kuriyala of Bantwal Taluk fell in love with Irshad (27) from Karinje. After three long years of relationship, the two decided to take it a step further and enter into wedlock. Three days ago, Rinna went missing and the couple appeared before the Marriage Sub-registrar’s office to submit an application to register their marriage.

When Rinna was found at Irshad’s home on Friday, the police summoned her to the police station where she expressed her wish to get married to Irshad and refused to return home. Following her stance, several members of her family gathered in front of the police station.

After lengthy talks with both the sides, the police decided to send Rinna to stay at Prajna Counselling Centre for a few days. Irshad returned home.

Shanawaz. In Islam it is allowed to marry christian and Jew girls even without conversion. Please go through Islamic Shariath.

“Do not marry unbelieving women until they believe. A slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman, even though if she attracts you. And not marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe. A man slave who believes is better than an unbeliever, even though if he attracts you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the fire but Allah beckons by His grace to the garden (of bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His signs clear to mankind; that they may receive admonition.” (al-Baqarah, 221)

The above verse of the Holy Qur’an along with many other statements of the Qur’an and Sunnah clearly mention the impermissibility of Muslims marrying non-Muslims. Therefore, a marriage between a Muslim and someone from another religion will not be lawful or even valid according to Islam. The exception, however, is mentioned in the following verse:

“(Lawful unto you in marriage are chaste women who are believers and chaste women among the people of the book.” (al-Ma’idah, 5)

Thus, it would be permissible, in principle, for Muslim men to marry women from the people of the book (ahl al-Kitab) namely Christian and Jewish girls. However, this is also subjected to certain conditions
The reason behind this prohibition (of inter-marriage between Muslims and non-Muslims) is that, marital relationships demand mutual love, affection and intimacy, and without this, the purpose of marriage is left unfulfilled. If such close relationship of love and intimacy is established with a non-Muslim, it may emotionally incline a Muslim towards disbelief (kufr) or, at the least; abhorrence of Kufr and Shirk may not remain in the heart. Consequently, it may lead one to disbelief and eventually the fire of Hell. This is why Allah Almighty said towards the end of the verse of Surah al-Baqarah quoted above:

“Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the fire, but Allah beckons by His grace to the garden (of bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His signs clear to mankind; that they may receive admonition.” ( 221) (See: Ma’arif al-Qur’an, 1/ 540)

We are tend to see everything on the blind-faith mirror... What'z the problem with the people if they get married and live together. Aren't we paving the way for the people to take the extreme steps like committing suicide.. After all in India human life is very cheap...!!!

I mean, being a christian girl she can still keep her religion while married to a Muslim boy, this is an option. If she reverts, Alhamdulillah.

NO FORCE TO ACCEPT ISLAM..If she is willingly accepted Islam and utter shahadatan then she is Muslim and if she became Muslim it is the reposibility of the Muslim Jamaath to arrange their marriage.

And if it is only blind love then they have to find out their way themselvesm but they can not axpect any support from Muslim Jamaath.
But by any cost They should not chose sucide as a solution.
May Allah help them to lead their life to Jannat

Dear Zakir. As per Quran believing men cannot marry non-believer. If the girl converts then that is a different story which is allowed.

islam teaches to worship only one God & reject idols which is Man made. all religious scripts mentions it. In that case religion plays if she want to pray only one god without any images or statues and to avoid preaching which she is not convinced. The more you look for God, God will guide you to the true faith.
