Panambur lifeguards save 70th life

rescueMangalore, Jan 22: Lifeguards of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project on Monday rescued a youth from drowning at Panambur beach.

The youth has been identified as Shivu (20), son of Devappa, a resident of Malur in Bijapur.

Shivu, who had come with his friend to the beach was swept away by a rip current, and was promptly rescued by the lifeguards.

This is the 70th life that the lifeguards of the project have saved since 2008.

This is a great achievement by the lifeguards.
There is also a limit for lifeguards in their expertise.
God forbid, what if lifeguards fail to save while risking the swimmers.
There could be further better solution not to allow anybody to step into such dangerous zones. This can happen only both the public and the authorities cooperate each other. We should not create such a situation, attempt to do such adventures where we loose control and depend on lifeguards help.
