With over 200 participants, the event was a hit. The first round consisted of a biryani for all. In the second round 40 best teams were selected and were given ice creams, followed by a round of cold drinks for the remaining 20 teams and watermelons for the top 10 teams.
The top five teams entered the semi-finals on Day-2 wherein they had to eat a large pizza without using their hands. The final round tested their cooking skills as the participants were made to grill Paneer for the judges in the shortest time. Avil and Loujin emerged as the winners of the competition, who were given prizes worth Rs 3000. Austyn and Sonal were the runners up after a very tough battle.
Nikhil Pai and Colin D'Souza from The 3 Hungry Men said that it was one of their biggest event so far and handling 200 hungry people at one time was a huge challenge for them. “However, we tackled it with grace and will be having more eating competitions all over the country soon,” said Nikhil.
