Responding to the new development that rocked saffron party ahead of Karnataka Assembly polls, Mr Joshi said that his party would order an inquiry into the veracity of the CD and take an appropriate decision.
Mr. Bhat, who withdrew his candidature from assembly polls soon after private channels began to telecast the controversial CD, said that he would personally meet Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and urge him to conduct an inquiry into the genuineness of the CD.
“Though I will not contest Assembly elections this time, I will not retire from politics, this is a temporary setback. I do not want the image of my party to be sullied by this episode,” Mr. Bhat said.

This followed an application filed in the court by Bhat, seeking an order to restrain TV?channels from telecasting the contents of the CD.
