Ullal, Oct 22: A P Aboobaker Musliyar's impending Karnataka yatra intends to end violence and establish harmony in the society, said K P Hussain Sa'adi, a local cleric.
Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who recently had stated that Indian Muslims would rather live and die for India than dance to the tunes of terror outfits, Sa'adi reiterated that Muslims of India intend to lay their lives for the country.
œHaving established several educational institutions, A P Usthad stresses on educational development. It is our duty to extend support to his endeavours. We should acquire the ideals of a Sunnat Jamaat in our lifetime, he said.
Speaking after inaugurating the programme, health minister UT Khader said that A P Usthad had undertaken the yatra to spread awareness of the principles of religion and society among people. He aims at improving religious education along with social development, he said, wishing success to the Karnataka yatra.
Karnataka state SSF general secretary K M Aboobaker Siddiq spoke on the occasion. Kinya Jumma Masjid president Sadu Kunhi Master presided over the programme.
Zilla panchayat member N S Kareem, Kinya gram panchayat president K S Hameed, member Siddeeq Kallanda, Kinya Jumma Masjid secretary Abu Swalih, SSF state vice president Ismail Sa'adi and others participated in the programme.
