Bengaluru, Jan 17: Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation D V Sadananda Gowda on Monday said the tussle between BJP leaders B S Yeddyurappa and K S Eshwarappa has caused embarrassment to party workers.
Gowda warned that the differences between the two leaders would affect the party and advised them to learn from the bitter experience of the past. “We must learn from the experience in the past,” he stated, indirectly referring to factional feud in the party when it was in power between 2008 and 2013 in the state.
He said people have high expectations from the BJP and they want the party to come to power in the state.
Asked whether he is making any efforts to end the differences between the two leaders, he said it is his duty as the Union minister from the state to keep the party bosses informed about all the developments. The party high command is capable of resolving all issues within a day. It is currently busy making preparations for elections to five states, he added.
He described the meeting convened by the RSS leaders on January 17 to resolve all issues as routine exercise. The RSS leaders do not interfere in the affairs of the BJP. They frequently hold meetings with the BJP leaders to guide them on issues of public importance, he added.
