Eastern Arabia wins Al-Majdouie cricket tournament 2012

Dammam, Jan 1: Al-Majdouie cricket Club invited eight teams for its second invitational cup 2012 which was played in Al Majdouie cricket ground Dammam Saudi Arabia.

The final was played between Eastern Arabia and Blue star. The match ended up in the nail biting finish and went all the way to the wire. Blue star won the toss and elected to bat, managed to put a challenging score of 188 in 20 overs. Imran of Blue star made valuable 85 and was picked as Man of the match.

In reply eastern Arabia lost early wickets which put brakes on the scoring rates. Mohammad Imran took the batting task to some extend and later Mohammad Afwan made valuable 40 and gave his team outside chance of winning the match. But it was Tanzeel who made sure his team is winning, scored fabulous 20 runs in the final over and last 3 runs came in the last ball.

Until last ball of 20th over nobody was sure which way the game was heading. Crowd enjoyed every bit of the match and nobody left their seats until the last ball was bowled.

Winning captain Mohammad Imran of Eastern Arabia was delighted with the team effort and dedicated the trophy to his team.
