JF silver jubilee cup 2013 kicks off in style

Dammam, Jan 21: The ‘JF Silver Jubilee Cup 2013’ got a glitzy opening at SABSA Cricket Ground in Rakah (Dammam-AlKhobar Coastal Highway) on Friday, January 18. This prestigious Cricket Tournament of Jam’iyyatul Falah is being organized for the noble cause as a part of Jam’iyyatul Falah’s 25th anniversary.

The inaugural match between Corniche Blue and Al-Anwaar was inaugurate by Salman, MD of SAB and followed by other three inaugural matches of eight overs in the morning session.

The 8 preliminary matches and 4 quarter finals matches were played on 18th January.  The tournament of 15-matches of two Fridays is spread across the cricket-crazy province of Saudi Arabia. All the players from the 16 Cricket Teams had shown a true sportsman spirit and played a fair game with enthusiasm and interest for the noble cause.

On January 25, the big matches will be played between the 4 top Cricket Teams. The first Semi-Final match will be played between last year’s Champion of JF Super Cup SAB Warriors and Attackers and the second Semi-Final will be played between CBC and Khobar United. Both the semi-finals will start at sharp 1:00pm, and immediately after the semi-finals, the finals will be played to decide the Winner of the prestigious JF Silver Jubilee Cup-2013.

The JF Silver Jubilee Cup 2013 is sponsored by IDEALINK and co-sponsored by SMR Group (India), SAB and Al-Jazeera Ambitions Factory Co.

The preliminary and quarter final matches were umpired by Umpires from the eastern province Bava Shabu Beary, Mohammad Jamal, Abdul Salam, Mohammad Imran, Sajid Hussain, Javed Sayed, Ayub and Mohammad Siraj.

The results of preliminary and quarter final matches played are as follows

PRELIMINARY MATCHES

1)      AL-JAZEERA V/S PACERS XI

Al-Jazeera had won the toss and elected to field. Pacer XI made 51/10 and Al-Jazeera won by 10 wickets.

Man of the Match : Yusuf Pappu of Al-Jazeera

2)      AL-ANWAAR V/S CBC

CBC had won the toss and elected to field. Al-Anwaar made 54/6 and CBC won by 4 wickets.

Man of the Match : Amjad of CBC

3)      NGC V/S UNITED LANKAN

NGC had won the toss and elected to bat. United Lanka made 77/6 and NGC won by 10 runs.

Man of the Match : Mohammad Saleem of NGC.

4)      KHOBAR UNITED V/S AMACO

AMACO had won the toss and elected to field. AMACO made 58/7 and Khobar United won by 10 runs.

Man of the Match : Kashif of United Khobar United.

5)      AL-FALAH V/S SAB WARRIORS

SAB Warriors had won the toss and elected to field. Al-Falah made 51/8 and SAB Warriors won by 8 wickets.

Man of the Match : Salman of SAB Warriors

6)      BLUE STARS V/S ICC

ICC had won the toss and elected to bat. ICC made 59/7 and Blue Star won by 7 wickets.

Man of the Match : Shameem of Blue Stars.

7)      SAB MIDDLE EAST V/S ATTACKERS

Attackers had won the toss and elected to field. SAB Middle East made 56/6 and Attackers won by 4 wickets.

Man of the Match : Subail of Attackers

8)      KFC V/S REAL TECH

Real Tech had won the toss and elected to field. Real Tech made 49/5 and KFC won by 34 runs.

Man of the Match : Harish of KFC

QUARTER FINAL MATCHES

1)      AL-JAZEERA V/S CBC

Al-Jazeera had won the toss and elected to field. Al-Jazeera made 44/7 and CBC won by 32 runs.

Man of the Match : Aziz of CBC

2)      NGC V/S KHOBAR UNITED

NGC had won the toss and elected to bat. NGC made 59/6 and Khobar United won by 8 wickets.

Man of the Match : Afridi of Khobar United

3)      SAB WARRIORS V/S BLUE STARS

Blue Stars had won the toss and elected to bat. Blue Stars made 61/6 and SAB Warriors won by 25 runs.

Man of the Match : Muthalib of SAB Warriors

4)      ATTACKERS V/S KFC

Attackers had won the toss and elected to bat. KFC made 65/5 and Attackers won by 42 runs.

Man of the Match: Mansoor (Manchu) of Attackers.
