Ras-al-khaimah, May 19: “We should understand the meaning of the verses of Holy Quran while reading it and follow its guidance for the best life hereafter,” said Prof M Abubaker, principal, Scholars Indian School, Ras-al-khaimah, UAE.

He was speaking at the inaugural function of the sixth inter-school Holy Quran recitation competition held Scholars Auditorium, here.

Stating that the Holy Quran is the only Book which guides you in the right direction, he said it is the noor and the way of life in which everything has mentioned of life here and hereafter.

“Reciting should be as if it is talking to you directly and penetrating your heart and intellect. The very thought of such direct reception will keep your heart seized by what you are reading,” he said.

The competition was arranged by the Holy Quran Foundation of RAK with the sponsorship of RAK FTZ an Al Tarheeb electromechanical RAK.

Sheikh Abdusattar Khatab inaugurated the programme by reciting the verses  from the Holy Quran. Amna Al Dehhi of RAK FTZ and Tariq Nawaz MD of Al Tarheeb, Mr.Habib Mundol the Chairman of Scholars was present on the occasion. Mr.Ashraf Amani the HOD of English proposed vote of thanks.
