Ras-al-Khaimah: Scholars go green on world environment day

Ras-al-Khaimah, Jun 6: The World Environment Day, an initiative under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) was celebrated with great passion and fervor by the Scholars Indian School, Ras-al-Khaimah, UAE.

The children enthusiastically participated in the celebrations and marked the day by doing plantations in large numbers with the Principal of the school Prof. M. Abubaker. All the children took the Environment Day pledge and promised to remain Earth Warriors throughout their lives.

The school reverberated with the slogans of "Go Geen" as children heartily wished each other , a Happy Environment Day, sporting the colour green on their attires.The children resolved to make their school the greenest corner of Rasal Khaimah.

Principal Prof .M.Abubaker appreciated the efforts of the children and said that celebrations like these go a long way in shaping the character of our future generations.He laid the stress on children grooming themselves as responsible global citizens.
