‘SDPI prepared to recapture the stolen fruits of freedom in India’

Dubai: The India Cultural Society, an NRI wing of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), arranged a reception to party’s national advisor Ilyas Thumbay recently in Al Musalla Tower, Bur Dubai.

Speaking on the occasion Ilyas Thumbay said that marginalization of Muslims and other backward and downtrodden (Ahinda) communities and anti-constitutional policies of political parties are the main reasons behind the birth of SDPI.

He said that Muslims are denied social justice, education, employment, reservation and in political bodies in India. He said hat since independent Muslims are facing constant brutality and are dubbed as terrorists or fundamentalists.

He said that SDPI is the party of marginalized sections of India which include minorities, Dalits and other backwards. It is prepared for struggle to recapture the country’s stolen fruits of freedom, sovereignty and development. The party has put forth the slogan of “Freedom from Hunger, Freedom from Fear”, he concluded.

Ilyas Thumbay entrusted SDPI Membership form to Mr.Akbar Ali, Surathkal and Mr. Ibrahim Addor.

Naseer Karaje, Chief of India Cultural Society, Karnataka state, in his presidential address briefed about the services of ICS in the Emirates among expatriate community such as blood donation, dead body repatriation, employment assistance and other possible help to all Indians irrespective of religion and cast.

Mr. Munavvar, from Tamilnadu General Secretary- UAE and Mr.Naushad from Kerala- Secretary of India Cultural Society were present in the program.

Mr Faraz Brahmmavara welcomed. Indian Cultural Society Deira Area President Shakir Nellyadi proposed vote of thanks.

Ajman: Ashok Bai Baria (44), a resident of Valsad - Ahmedabad, succumbed to a heart attack in Ajman. 

The incident occurred on March 13 morning at his residence, following which he experienced severe physical distress leading to the fatal cardiac arrest. 

Fishing has been a longstanding activity in Ajman- UAE, with Baria being actively involved in the profession for many years. 

Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, has informed that all necessary arrangements are underway to repatriate the deceased's body to his hometown.
