Zaheer joins camp

Bangalore, June 29: Leading Indian pacer Zaheer Khan joined the on-going fitness tests for Indian players at the National Cricket Academy on Thursday.

 

The left-arm seamer did sprints and underwent beep test in the evening, while opening batsman Gautam Gambhir too reported on the day. Gambhir, who recently led Kolkata Knight Riders to their maiden title win in the Indian Premier League, will spend the next couple of days at the academy along with his state-mates Virender Sehwag and Virat Kohli. Suresh Raina is set to join the round of fitness tests on Tuesday, while all-rounder Irfan Pathan continued his stint at the NCA, getting himself engaged at nets and other routine fitness tests.

 

Yuvraj Singh, who has been recuperating from his treatment for cancer, continued his stint at the NCA, participating in short sprints,
