Bantwal, July 10: The Bantwal Rural Police have registered a case against a local resident for allegedly posting derogatory photo and comments about Prophet Muhammad and Islam on his social networking page.
The police booked Dilip Shetty, following a complaint lodged one Abdul Khader, a resident of Amaimar.
Shetty was being booked under Sections 295 A (deliberate act intended to outrage religious feelings) and 298 (uttering words with deliberate intent to hurt religious feeling) of IPC.
Meanwhile the obnoxious photo and comments have been removed from the face book following the swift action of cybercrime police.
It can be recalled here the activists of Popular Front of India had brought the issue to the notice of Puttur ASP M N Anuchet.

Islam's strength is its truth and strong foundation. The more it defamed, the more it grwos stronger. The Hindu community should identify and punish such coward culprits who disturb the inter-community harmony.
Because of few people like You, we dont want to hurt our other Hindu friends. We have many Hindu friends. YOu will not say it if you have a little in your brain or if you are an educated. Sorry to say it. If you study Islam and if you are brave, you will support Islam, perhaps you may follow it immediately. Islam is a perfect set of commands to succeed in this life and a life hereafter. The evidence is see other part of the world, Islam is the fastest growing religion. It has come as a light to to entire universe, not only for us and you. If you dont do it, we really feel you are not brave nor inteligent. Islam is to unify the entire universe under common platform, it opposes the division of human beings. May sincere prayer is may God bless you with enough courage to study Islam and understand it and adapt it in your life.
Coward people like you only can do this from behind.
