Iqra Arabic School celebrates annual day

Mangalore, July 18: Iqra Arabic School, Mangalore, observed its annual day recently at Bearys Public School here.

 

The programme witnessed a huge turnout that comprised of respectable parents, distinguished guests and honorable faculty.

 

The programme commenced with the Qirat by a group of students led by Sadeed Mohammed Deen. Following which, Yusuf Bhalli delivered a speech in eloquent Arabic that mesmerized the audience. Thereupon, speeches were delivered in English by Ismail Faisal, in Beary by Muhammad Afraz, and in Urdu by Hasan Shawwaf.

 

Each speech was followed upon by a play or a hymn that spoke of students’ talents. Syed Muhammad Beary, who remained the Program’s Chief Guest, spoke highly of Iqra Arabic School’s endeavors and achievements.

 

He, along with other distinguished guests gave away the prizes in various categories that included elocutions in varied languages, essay writing, skits, quiz, poetry recitation, Hifz, Qiraath, Hadar, Azaan recitation, academic performances and the like.

 

Mohammed Ayaz, son of Mohammed Ismail attained the coveted Abul Hasan Award for academic excellence.

 

The programme concluded with Moulana Saalim Khalifa Nadwi, Principal of Iqra Arabic School invoking prayers. Master Muiz Abbas was the master of the ceremony.
