Puttur, August 12: Senior congress leader of Puttur Muhammed Hatta on Saturday died of cardiac arrest at his residence at Puttur-Darbe.
Though he was rushed to the nearby hospital immediately he did not respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
67 year old Muhammad Hatta had served as member of Zilla Parishat from Nettanige Mudnoor. He was also President of Zilla Parishat Industrial Standing committee, President of Puttur Urban Development Authority, member of District Land Tribunal, General Secretary of Puttur Block Congress and member of Dakshina Kannada District Congress Committee.
Presently, he was serving as Vice President of Muslim Samyuktha Jama’ath. Earlied he had also rendered his services for 10 years as Secretary of Jama’ath. He was also Secretary of Puttur Seerath Committee, office-bearer of Jam’iyyathul Falah as well as Crescent Youngmens’ Association.
