Belthangadi, August 12: A three-year-old child was killed when auto-rickshaw in which she was travelling with her parents and sister, lost control and turned turtle at Neralakatte near Maddadka here on Saturday.
The deceased is Riya, daughter of Ayisha. Ayisha’s son-in-law Naushad was driving the auto. However, he fled the scene soon after the incident.
Ayisha and elder daughter Safiya suffered minor injuries.
It is learnt that they all were going to their new rented house with the household things.
A case has been registered at Belthangadi Police.
