Eid ul-Fitr culminates a month of fasting
Muslims abstain from food and drink,
An exercise in patience and discipline.
Eid is for those lucky souls
Who pray and beseech Allah
For forgiveness and mercy.
Eid brings Muslim community closure
For sharing joy and blessing.
Buying gifts and clothes for their children.
O, Muslim brethren also look for
those less privilege.
While we celebrate a Special Day,
They may not.
Those in hospitals may spend
a bleak and lonely day.
Think of them and offer solace.
Eid Ul Fitr gives a new breath of life,
guarantee you an eternal life.
Only if you lend to your heart
the beating of true worship of your Creator.
O, Muslims your betterment lies
in true Unity, in love, Compassion and humanity.
The humanity in you shall see your rise-up
In the heavens, under the gaze of Allah.
The humanity in you which Allah wants to inspire
Serve Him and serve your fellow brethren.
That is your true Eid, lease of life,
a truce of life guaranteeing you eternity.
