1200 Hajj pilgrims to fly from Mangalore from Sep 17

Mangalore, August 28: All necessary arrangements will be made for Hajj pilgrims arriving from Chikmagalur and Hassan districts to stay at Mangalore Airport’s cargo terminal, said newly elected president of Karnataka State Hajj Committee M.M. Ahmed.

 

He was speaking to media persons after offering prayers at Syed Madani Dargah at Ullal, near here on Tuesday.

 

Mr Ahmed said that each pilgrim would be allowed to carry up to 22 kilo grams of luggage in two travel cases and 10 kg in handbags. This year 1200 pilgrims would be leaving for Hajj from Mangalore and the first batch would leave on September 17, he said.

 

Dakshina Kannada District Wakf Advisory Committee President Usman and President of the Mangalore unit of BJP Minority Morcha, A.R. Fazal Asaigoli were also present.
