Udupi, September 11: Bharatiya Janata Party’s Ambalpady Local Committee president Manohar Shetty on Tuesday evening joined Congress party in the presence of Udupi Block Congress Committee President Pramod Madhwaraj, at a function held at Congress Bhavan in the city.
Inducting Mr Shetty to Congress Mr Madhwajar said former’s re-joining Congress has given a boost to the party, especially when the party is preparing for the Udupi City Municipal Council elections.
Diwakar Kundar, Krishnamurthy Acharya, Praveen Shetty, Ramesh Kanchan, Murali Shetty, Keerthi Shetty, Krishnanad Upadhya and others were present.
