Advani must resign if there is any morality left in him: Poojary

Mangalore April 24: “L K Advani should resign if he has any morality left in him” said Janardhan Poojary, Congress leader and Former Union Minister, with reference to the Babri Masjid issue in Mangalore on Saturday, April 24.

Addressing media persons at the Press Club in the city, Poojary said that Advani demanded Shashi Tharoor’s resignation the other day, and so did Sushma Swaraj. Advani gives lectures on value based politics and morality but so many in his own party are caught by Lokayuktha officers under corruption cases. He never asked for a resignation from them and he only gives lectures in the Parliament and before the common people. He must resign from his post of the Member of Paliament, Poojary said.

He also said that Sushma Swaraj, Leader of the opposition in the Parliament, protected the Reddy Brothers in Illegal mining case and encouraged them to carry out the same. Reddy brothers have said themselves that Sushma Swaraj is their ‘mother’ who protects them. The Reddys have so many cases filed against their name such as illegal mining, violation of Law, illegal acquisition of land, misuse of office and so on. Lokayukta has submitted a 1008 page report on illegal mining. Even Yeddyurappa, while addressing a gathering in one of the programmes, had mentioned that the Reddys are looting the mining resources of the land and the police should do something about them. “Why are you silent now?” Poojary asked.

Regarding the bomb blasts that took place outside the Bangalore stadium, Poojary took a dig at the State Government for the way it reacted after the blasts. “The Home Minister said betting lobby is involved and the DIG said that it was not carried out by terrorists but the next day Acharya changed his statement. It shows the attitude of the Government. In between all this, the CM goes to Malaysia to enjoy. What kind of a CM you are? Poojary questioned.

During election times BJP purchases the votes from people. The economic condition of Karnataka has touched a low. Most of the budget is allocated from the Centre but the CM has failed to provide the money. The construction of roads has slowed down. The CM has failed completely in providing rehabilitation to the people affected by floods in North Karnataka. “How many houses have you built in DK and Karnataka? You are a total failure, whether in case of solving farmers’ problems, issues concerning security or minorities”, Poojary said.

Criticising the Chief Minister further, Poojary said that the CM himself is responsible for the price rise problem as he is the Finance Minister of the State as well. “You should be ashamed of yourself because of you hold the prime responsibility and you blame others”, Poojary said.

L.K Adwani/BJP,s motto is YANK NIKK ATTH OORDAKLEG.Congress have hundreds of years of history and it follows all norms of democracy including moral standard.

BJP/Yeddi created a new history in Karnataka-----VOTE 4 NOTE (one vote/ID card one thousand rupees)This really hurts democratic system of the country and a dangerous turn in political culture.
