Mangalore, April 26: B Ramanath Rai, Member of Legislative Assembly from Bantwal Constituency and President of District Congress Committee has called upon the voters to vote for the right candidate to strengthen local governance and establish social harmony. He also alleged that BJP led state Government does not have faith in Panchayat system.

Declaring the names of supervisors for the District Block Congress Committees, at a press meet held at the Congress Party office in the city on Monday, April 26, he said that they will foil the strategy of BJP in the impending election. He expressed hope that congress backed candidates will win most of the seats in the District.

He said, Ivan D’ Souza (Ullal), Suresh Ballal (Pane Mangalore), Ashok Kumar DK (Bantwal) Vishwas Kumar Das (Suratkal), Kallige Tharanath Shetty (Puttur), Prasanna Kumar Rai (Sulya), Venkappa Gowda (Kadaba), Shashidara Hegde (Belthangady), Arun Kuvello (Moodbidri), Dinakara Ullal(Vitla), Harinath (Mulky) and Santosh Kumar Shetty (Gurpur) will look after the respective blocks ahead of the elections.

Pointing out the recent untoward incidents that resulted in communal tension and social discord, Rai warned the voters not to vote for those candidates who patron such incidents.

Alleging that the BJP government does not believe in the Panchayat system and the concept of decentralisation of power, he said, "It is now trying to weaken the panchayat system by appointing an administrator to each panchayat. The BJP is even trying to loot people at the panchayat level by setting up of monitoring committees," he rued.

He also alleged the ruling party of the state of misusing the natural disaster relief fund to woo the voters ahead of polls.

He said the BJP government that has not implemented any programmes for the welfare of women, farmers and unemployed youths for the past two years. The Chief Minister is lying to the people on various issues, he charged.

Rai said that the state Government has failed in all areas of administration creating an unbearable condition in the society including uncontrolled price rise and marginalization of the poor.

Brother Zaid They know very well muslims are divided in many groups, & One group will not allow other to get success, so better for them to ignore.
Let us gain unity, and Show unity then even we don't need congress seats or any other party support.
