Talk on ‘Business Process Re-Engineering’ held

Mangalore April 28: A talk on the topic ‘Business Process Re-Engineering’ was given by Albert W D’Souza, Managing Director, Printania Offset Pvt Ltd Mumbai, organised by Mangalore Management Association (MMA) in association with SDM College of Business Management.

Addressing the gathering D’Souza said that Re-Engineering is required by all firms. He explained certain steps that include the clubbing of several jobs into one, the steps for change that should be brought about in a natural way so that all accept it. The processes should be changed where it is needed the most, he said.

Further, he gave many examples such as mills, Indian railway and even IPL. The main point he stressed on was re-engineering of the processes in a company so that the productivity of a firm, government or private, is improved.
