Buntara Sangha, Kuwait organises 'Bunts Get Together - 2010' in Kuwait

Kuwait, April, 23 : Buntara Sangha – Kuwait organized Bunts Get-Together 2010 on 23rd April 2010 at Indian Community School, Khaitan. The program started at 03:30 pm with illuminating of traditional lamp by Honorable chief guest Sri. Nagaraj Shetty (chairmen Coastal Development Authority; Ex-minister Gov. of Karnataka) & Managing Committee Members, followed by prayer by Mrs. Reetha K Shetty, Mrs. Roopa R Shetty, Mrs. Nalini P Shetty, Mrs. Supreeta V Shetty & Rashmi P Hegde.

 

President A. Karunkara Shetty welcomed the chief guest & entire community members to the day’s event. Various foot tapping filmy & classical dance items by kids & adults were organized, followed by melodious songs and eye snatching skits by the members.

 

Chief Guest Mr. Nagaraj Shetty was felicitated by the sangha’s President Mr. A. Karunakar Shetty, later in his speech Mr. Nagaraj Shetty addressing the community appreciated the great work done by bunts in Kuwait to their nativity and their input to the community. Mr. Shetty stressed keep in mind & maintain the great bunt culture & ancestry. He briefed future generations the love affection that should be developed towards the mother land & native languages.

 

Also described the good work done by the Government of Karnataka  developing the coastal districts and the steps implemented improving of infrastructure and other developmental work.

 

“FASHION SHOW” by bunts kids & elders was the special attraction of the day. The program concluded at 07:30 pm. The program lineup was magnificently hosted by Mr. Yadunath Alva & Mrs. Swarna C Shetty and all the stage events were excellently coordinated by Mr. Prashanth Shetty & Mrs. Preethi Shetty, General Secretary Mr. Gururaj Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.  Delicious dinner with BUNT’S traditional flavor was served. The day was filled with joy and entertainment.
