Students create awareness against drug abuse

Mangalore, August 30: Dozens of students of Canara First Grade College and Canara PU College Student's Union took out a march to appeal to the vendors to stop selling tobacco products and drugs to students.

Dhanraj Shetty, President of Canara First Grade College led the seven kilometre march which passed through PVS circle, Ballalbagh Circle and Karangalpady Circle before culminating the march in the premises of the college.

The students visited shops around the area urging the vendors not to sell any tobacco products to the students. They also requested them to consider students as their children before selling them any products.

The appeal also stated that it was the first phase of awareness campaign and students will strive to create more awareness in days to come.
