Bengaluru, Dec 6: The much awaited Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting, for which JD(S) leader and Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy were also invited on December 8, was postponed as the Coalition Government Coordination Committee which met here yesterday decided to hold the Cabinet expansion on December 22.
According to sources a communication had been sent to Congress and JDS Legislators in this regard. The CLP meeting would be held during the 12-day Winter Session scheduled to begin from Decembr 10 at Suvarna Vikasa Soudha, Belagavi.
The CLP meeting, which had assumed importance following invitation extended to the Chief Minister had evinced interest in the political circle, amidst the reports of threat to the stability of the 6-month-old Congress-JD(S) coalition government.
Mr Kumaraswamy, who was keen to attend and address the Congress legislators, had said that “I myself volunteered to attend it to bridge any gap between the JD(S) and the Coalition partner Congress Legislators".
