Bengaluru, May 19: Various exit polls have predicted that BJP will win majority of Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha polls 2019. According to India Today Axis, the BJP is expected to receive a vote share of 49 per cent, while winning an estimated 21-25 seats in the process.
Karnataka has a total of 28 seats in the Lok Sabha elections. In 2014, The BJP had won a total of 17 seats, the Congress 9 seats while the JDS won 2 seats.
The Congress and the JD(S) have been at each other's throats over the last few days and the estimated results from exit polls are sure to have an impact on the alliance in the days to come. The Congress-JD(S) alliance is expected to win a paltry 3-6 seats in the state. The alliance, however, is expected to win a vote share of 43 per cent.
CNN News18 has predicted similar numbers for Karnataka. According to the exit poll, Congress-JDS alliance is expected to win 5-7 seats while the BJP is expected to win the most number of seats from the state with approximately 21 to 23 seats.
ABP News- Nielsen has predicted a BJP win as well but the scale of the victory is significantly lower according to their exit poll. They have predicted a total of 15 seats for the BJP while they expect the Congress-JDS alliance to win the remaining 13 seats in the state.
