Mysuru, Oct 20: Former Karnataka Minister Tanvir Sait, alleging that there was lapses in distributing of passes for the Dasara procession, today demanded a probe on the conduct of the Dasara festivities this year.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he said there was serious complaint against the District In-Charge Minister G T Devegowda and Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh (both from JD-S) of misusing their power by issuing more than15,000 passes for their followers and keeping away the entire Congress party leaders, and elected representatives, from all the activities.
There was mismanagement on issuing gold cards.
Stating that no ministers had called him or invited for the festivity he alleged that Chamarajanagara district in charge Minister Puttaranga Shetty has been ill-treated.
Mr Sait alleged that even the Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Parameshwara was made to wait during the procession inauguration in front of the Palace by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
