Alumni meet of Mangaluru University College held in Dubai

Dubai, Nov 13: Many old students of Mangaluru’s historic University College held a get-together at grand plaza hotel, Qusais, Dubai during the recent visit of its principal Dr Uday Kumar.

Addressing the students, Dr Kumar urged them to strengthen the alumni association chapter in Middle East. He stated that the college is getting ready to celebrate 150th anniversary  (sesquicentennial celebrations) in 2018. 

He explained the development projects planned under the leadership of prominent alumnus and former chief minister of Karnataka Dr M Veerappa Moily and the Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Prof. K. Byrappa. 

Dr Rajalashmi, Professor of English, addressed the students and sought support to the programs of the college. The alumni assured complete support to the development of their alma mater. Mr. Shaukath Ali compered the program and Daya Kirodian proposed the vote of thanks.

A committee consisting Daya Kirodian, Siraj Pajeer, Shaukath Ali, Mohammad Ali Uchil, Praveen, Sadashiva Das was formed to enroll members and strengthen the Association.
