IFF Karnataka chapter honours Hajj Volunteers from Eastern Province

Dammam: The Karnataka unit of the India Fraternity Forum, in Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia felicitated and honored Hajj volunteers who took part in 2018 Hajj, at Royal Dine Restaurant, Jubail.

The ceremony was inaugurated by welcoming the Hajj volunteers and guests by IFF Eastern province Karnataka chapter President, Attavalla Uchilla followed by recitation of Quran by Mr. Hudaifa.

The documentary film of the India Fraternity Forum Hajj volunteer service was shown to the gathering. 

Mehraj Gulbarga, the chief guest speaking on the occasion applauded the work done by IFF during Hajj. The astonishing increase in the number of volunteers in 2002 from 35 to above 1500 in 2018 was one of the few key highlights of his speech.

The volunteers who served Hajjis shared their emotional and heart touching experience while serving in holy Makkah, Mina and Arafat. 

Mohammad Salahuddin, State Secretary of Indian Social Forum (ISF), Mohammed Junaid of Karkala Association Saudi Arabia (KASA) also spoke.

Imthiyaz Suratkal, President, IFF Eastern Province central Committee, presided. Anwar Mata compered the ceremony. Noufal Bunder proposed vote of thanks.

Ajman: Ashok Bai Baria (44), a resident of Valsad - Ahmedabad, succumbed to a heart attack in Ajman. 

The incident occurred on March 13 morning at his residence, following which he experienced severe physical distress leading to the fatal cardiac arrest. 

Fishing has been a longstanding activity in Ajman- UAE, with Baria being actively involved in the profession for many years. 

Salam Pappinissery, CEO of Yab Legal Services in the UAE, has informed that all necessary arrangements are underway to repatriate the deceased's body to his hometown.
