Mangaluru, Apr 24: He is a three-time MLA and one of the most influential ministers in chief minister Siddaramaiah led Karnataka government. But, he neither owns a car, nor a piece of jewellery.
The affidavit filed by U T Khader, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, while filing nomination papers from Mangaluru (erstwhile Ullal) constituency has brought to light these facts.
Khader, who is contesting for fourth time, owns movable property worth Rs 41,26,804 while his wife has movable assets worth Rs 28,68,763.39.
However, his wife has a car which was gifted to her by her father in 2002, and another car purchased in 2009. She possesses 500 gram gold worth Rs 12 lakh, given to her during marriage by her father in 2002.
