Mangalore, Dec 12: As part of the 20th annual general conference of Al-Madeena educational institution, a mass-wedding ceremony of eleven couples will be held on Saturday at Al-Madeena Islamic Complex in Manjanady on the outskirts of the city, said convenor of the conference M S M Abdur-rasheed Zaini.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said that the three-day conference would be inaugurated by Syed Alavi Jalaluddin Al Hadi Thangal Ujire on Friday at 3.30 p.m. The inaugural programme will be presided over by Shaikhuna Abbas Ustad. A memorial issue, book and CD will be released on the occasion, he said.
On Sunday, an 'Ulema Meet' will be held at 10 a.m. as part of the general conference. The valedictory ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, he said.
Ashraf Kinara, Abdul Khadir Saqafi, Hasanabba Kalkatta and Ismail Sa'adi Kinya were present.
