It was a sea of humanity at the sprawling grounds at the Vidyagiri campus of the foundation in Moodbidri near here. Students were dressed in T-shirts of the colours of the National Flag and were made to stand in such a way that an aerial view resembled the tricolour.

On the stage, NCC cadets stood in three rows that made up the colours of the flag.

Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmastala Kshetra unfurled the flag and addressed the students.

Soon after Dr. Heggade concluded his speech an integration song was played and students waved their small flags in perfect synchronisation. It was indeed a visual treat to the viewers.

A cultural programme was organised in which Alva’s students participated.
