With this coastaldigest.com lost two consecutive matches after its inaugural massive victory in the Amaco Mangalore Premiere League being held at NMPT grounds by Karnataka Regional Cricket Academy, while KSK improved its position in the tournament by winning two out of three matches.

For the third consecutive time coastaldigest.com lost the toss and was asked by the KSK captain to bat first.

Like its previous match an initial shock was awaiting for coastaldigest.com as opener Vikram PS lost his wicket for a duck leaving the responsibility of building a partnership on the shoulders of captain Ibrahim Athrady and all-rounder Adiya Somanna, who joined the former after the fall of first wicket.

Thought the captain resorted to an attacking-batting he lost his wicket at 34 when the team was yet to reach 50. Somanna, who had plundered an impressive 89 in the previous match, too failed to exhibit his talent. Another promising batsman Norman Castelino became the victim of a run-out after scoring a mere two runs.

When the team crossed 50 it had already lost four big wickets. Finally, it managed to score a 138 thanks to the efforts of Roshan Shetty ( 25), Daniel Sequeira (19), Gaurav Bengre (15) and Shaheer (10).

KSK bowlers Abhishek Singh (22/2), Shanavaz (20/2), Amth (33/2) managed to keep the coastaldigest.com hitters in their control till the end. Bipin KP and Aditya claimed one wicket each.

On the other hand, the bowlers of coastaldigest.com were also eager to avenge the initial shocks. After a duck out of opener Bipin, another opener Nasrullah and Naushad too lost their wickets when the KSK’s score stood at 6.

Meanwhile, a timely partnership of 65 runs off 46 balls between Adoksh Hegde (53) and Vaishak (37) for the fifth wicket almost changed the course of the match. However, once the duo returned to the dugout the match once again inclined towards coastadlgiest.com.

But, the luck finally favored the KSK as the coastaldigst.com lost two easy run-out opportunities in the last moment and two unexpected sixes dampened the latter’s spirit. Adhoksh bagged the man of the match award.

Bengaluru: 'Nati koli saaru' (country chicken curry) considered one of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s favourites along with steaming hot idlis was on the breakfast menu at Deputy CM D K Shivakumar’s residence on Tuesday, according to official sources.

The spread also included 'nati koli' fry, vada and pongal, among other items, they said.

In an apparent show of unity, Siddaramaiah visited Shivakumar’s residence for breakfast, just days after the two leaders shared a meal amid a simmering power tussle in the state Congress.

Siddaramaiah drove to the Deputy CM’s residence in Sadashivanagar, where he was received by Shivakumar and his brother D K Suresh, who is a former Congress MP.

Suresh and Kunigal MLA H D Ranganath, a relative of Shivakumar, joined them for breakfast, which featured a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

Speaking to reporters later, Siddaramaiah said Shivakumar had invited him during his visit to the CM’s residence for breakfast on Saturday.

Asked about the difference between the two meals, the chief minister said, "At his (Shivakumar’s) house it was non-veg, while at my house it was veg. He is a vegetarian, I am a non-vegetarian. I had not prepared non-veg. I told DK to get chicken from the village as you won’t get the original in Bengaluru."

Shivakumar said he had initially invited Siddaramaiah to his residence, but the CM had suggested visiting his place first and reciprocating later. "It was a vegetarian breakfast at the CM’s house on Saturday," he noted.

"Today, I invited him (the CM) to my house. He enjoyed the breakfast, which had his Mysuru taste," Shivakumar added. At this point, Siddaramaiah remarked that Shivakumar’s wife is also from Mysuru.

Saturday’s breakfast at Siddaramaiah’s official residence, held as part of efforts by the Congress high command to ease tensions in the leadership dispute between the two, reportedly included idlis and sambar, according to official sources.
