
Central Crime Branch officers detained the person from Andhra Pradesh and are tracing the man who attacked the woman, who they say is hiding in the state.
The accused sold the mobile phone of the victim to this person, police said. They did not give any detail about the detained person.

The 44-year-old victim Jyothi Uday, a manager with state-run Corporation Bank, was attacked inside an ATM kiosk near NR circle just 100meters away from Halasur Gate police station in Bangalore Central division on Tuesday morning.
The attacker assaulted her brutally by a machete and fled before robbing her.
The doctors, who are treating Jyothi at BGS Global Hospital, said that her condition is stable and is being very closely monitored.
