Mysuru, May 22: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has decided to contest from the Chamundeshwari segment in the upcoming Assembly elections in 2018.

Speaking to reporters here, he said he would contest from Chamundeshwari constituency and the candidate for Varuna Assembly segment, represented by him, will be decided in the days to come.
When reporters asked if his son Dr Yathindra would be fielded from Varuna, the chief minister said, it will be decided a little later. He added that he might contest from both the constituencies.
A few supporters of Siddaramaiah, who met him during the mass contact programme here, asked him to contest from Chamundeshwari constituency. The chief minister agreed and told his supporters to get into election mode.
