Bengaluru, Feb 13: The police are searching for popular Kannada film actor Pooja Gandhi after her car rammed into a two wheeler in the city on Thursday.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital Jayanagar 7th Block by the actor and two other persons in the car. Though they admitted the victim to the intensive care unit, Ms. Gandhi and the others left the hospital immediately.
The police have decided to slap a notice on Pooja, as she has been untraceable after shifting the victim to the hospital. Efforts to reach her on her mobile phone, too, failed, said the police.
The car Pooja was travelling by rammed Varsha’s two-wheeler around 1 pm in Yediyur lake area, causing her injuries. Pooja shifted her to a nearby hospital in her car, along with a few local residents, said the police.
A case was registered following a complaint lodged by Varsha’s brother Deepak. “She (Pooja) went away after the accident.?We could not trace her car. Moreover, her mobile phone is not reachable. Hence, we have decided to serve a notice on her,” said a police officer.
There were two versions about the person who was at the wheel when the accident occurred. Some claimed Pooja was herself driving the car, while a few others said a man was at the wheel. It is said there were three persons in the car. There were no CCTV cameras at the accident spot.
The Jayanagar Traffic police, who have registered a case, are looking for her and to seize the car for further investigation. “We will summon her to appear before the investigating officer for further procedure,” a senior police officer said.
