Uppinangady, Aug 10: Karnataka state convenor of Hindu Jagarana Vedike Jagadish Karanth alleged that criminal cases were booked on youth who tried to rescue cattle being trafficked illegally, but those who attacked and assaulted the cattle rescuers in large groups were left scot free by the police.

Speaking on the occasion, advocate Subrahmanya Kumar Agarta said that the society members should not tolerate exploitation of Hindu women and cattle, which is a symbol of worship for the Hindus.
VHP leader Kokkada Tukrappa Shetty delivered the presidential address.
HJV leader Raviraj Shetty Kadaba, senior BJP leader Poovaje Kushalappa Gowda, Bajrang Dal district convenor Bhaskar Dharmasthala, Harish Poonja, Krishna Bhat, Laxminarayana, Narayana Gowda, Satyanarayana Bhat, Kishore Kumar Kokkada and others were present.
