Mangalore, Nov 22: Suspicion shrouds the death of Asif (26) a native of Bajal who died at Al-Khobar in Saudi Arabia.

It is said that on Tuesday night, at about 12.30 am, he had completed his work and left to his accommodation in the company vehicle.
However, on Wednesday Asif was found in an unconscious state at a place which is about 25 kms away from Akrabia.
The locals called the police and Asif was rushed to King Fahaad Hospital and was provided treatment, following which Asif had even recuperated a bit and had even given his friends' numbers to the cops. However, when the friends came to the hospital along with the police Asif had lost his consciousness again.
He did not respond to treatment thereafter and on Wednesday at about 10.30 pm he died.
It is said that Asif suffered severe injuries on the head and abdomen and it is suspected that Asif must have been knocked down by a vehicle from the back.
While the vehicle keys and mobiles were still with Asif, the car in which he left is not yet been traced. Asif's friends suspect that it was a murder.
Asif was working as a bus conductor in Mangalore. He had gone to Al-Khobar about 4 years ago. He had come to Bajal two years ago and was preparing to return to Bajal on a holiday soon.
Abdurrahman and Saramma couple have five kinds, of whom Asif is the youngest. While his older siblings are married, the family was on a look out for a suitable match for Asif.
