Kasaragod, Sep 3: The stalled works of the laying of gas pipeline by the Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL) have resumed in the Kaasaragod district with the works commencing in the four-km long stretch at Ambalathara in Hosdurg taluk.

The works of the ambitious Kochi-Mangaluru gas pipe line project began after the Kerala state government evinced keen interest to resume the works.

The aim is to ensure hassle-free availability of the essential cooking gas in future. Besides, this pipeline is expected to give a new lease of life to Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilisers.
