Hameed Palya-led 'Raj News Channel' to go on air from April 14

Bangalore, 12: Yet another channel will be included into the host of the existing ones. Named as 'Raj News Channel', the new Kannada news channel is all set to make its entry within few days under the leadership of Hameed Palya.

At present, there are eight Kannada news channels including the Doordarshan. The ninth entrant will be on air from April 14 onwards. Raj Music channel, which has already made its mark in the entertainment sector and is now venturing into news sector with this channel.

Editor of the news channel Mr Palya has said that the main aim of the channel is to work within the framework of democracy and become voice of the common man.

The channel will be launched by none other than two great litterateurs, Dr U R Ananthamurthy and Chandrashekar Kambhar on April 13.
