Iqbal Husain elected SIO national president

Panaji, Dec 7: Iqbal Husain, the Andhra Pradesh zonal president of Students Islamic Organisation of India, has been elected the national president of the student's wing of Jamaath-e-Islami Hind for the term 2015-16.

The announcement was made at the SIO's all India zonal advisory council meeting held in Goa in the presence of outgoing SIO national president Ashfaq Ahmed Shareef and senior leaders of JIH.

Mr Husain, who hails from Adilabad district in the state of Telangana, has completed M.A. and B. Ed. Professionally, he is a teacher. He was also a member of Central Advisory Council of SIO.

The zonal advisory councils also elected the central advisory council of the organization for the term 2015-16. CAC is the highest decision making body of the organization. Following are newly elected CAC members of SIO.

Touseef Ahmed- Karnataka, Khan Yasir – Delhi, Nahas- Kerala, Shaadaab Masoom- West Bengal, Alif Shukoor – AMU, Limseer Ali- Kerala, Abu Taaher- Tamil Nadu, Masihuzzama Ansari- U.P Central, Abul Ala Syed- U.P East, Kareemuddin- A.P, Shamsheer Ibrahim- Kerala, Abdul Malik Shaariq- Telangana, Abdullah Azzam- AMU, Masihurrahman- West Bengal, Shafeeq CP- Kerala.
