Bengaluru, Dec 30: The Karnataka Government is likely to order an inquiry into the death of young IPS officer Madhukar Shetty, a Karnataka cadre officer, who died in a Private Hospital in Hyderabad on Friday, allegedly due to breathing problem.

Speaking to newsmen, after holding a meeting with the senior Police officers here on Saturday, Home Minister M B Patil said that “it is very sad that Madhukar Shetty, a brave and honest officer died due to illness and if there is a doubt in anybody’s mind, an inquiry would be ordered into the sudden demise of the police officer”.
Stating that all the relevant information regarding profile of treatment given to the deceased Police officer would be obtained, Mr Patil said that “already our officers have initiated the process in this direction”.
Mr Shetty, was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad last week following breathing problem and fever.
He undergone surgery before breathing last.
