Bengaluru, Apr 30: Bengaluru, Apr 30: The II Pre-University examination results were announced today. The results will be published in respective colleges tomorrow. Now students can check their score on http://karresults.nic.in and http://puc.kar.nic.in
This year, 59.56% of the candidates have passed the exam, which is nearly 7% higher when compared with the previous year.
The pass percentage was 52.38% in 2017, 57.2% in 2016 and 60.53% in 2015. As many as 54,692 students have passed with distinction.
Once again, girls have outclassed boys with a pass percentage of 67.18, while for boys it is 52.30%. In 2017, the difference was 14%.
Coastal district of Dakshina Kannada has bagged top slot followed by Udupi.
The pass percentage for both urban and rural areas is 59.45%. Among the freshers, 68.29% have cleared the exam.

In all, 6.9 lakh students — 3,52,292 boys and 3,37,860 girls — appeared for the exams held from March 1 to March 17. In view of the assembly elections, they were held early this year. Apart from 28,374 private candidates, there were 1,22,346 repeaters.
