Bengaluru, Jun 8: Lok Sabha member Sumalatha Ambareesh, who had contested as an independent candidate from Mandya Lok Sabha constituency and defeated JD(S) candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, paid a courtesy visit to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state headquarter ‘Jagannatha Bhavan’ here on Saturday.
The State BJP Women wing President Bharathi Shetty and State BJP Youth wing leader B Y Vijayendra and others received on her arrival.
In the general election BJP extended party support to her by not fielding its candidate.
